5 Best Christmas Tree Lots In Orange County

Families have come together and were fed for the Thanksgiving holiday season. Now Christmas is right around the corner. It is time to get your holiday decorations out of the garage and go get your Christmas tree. If you live in Orange County you have a lot of choices in Christmas tree farms. Here is my list of the five best Christmas tree lots in Orange County.

Peltzer Pines Silverado

Now Peltzer Pines has two locations. One in Brea, Ca. and the other location in Silverado Canyon. The latter is a historical landmark in Orange County. It was founded in 1878 and the area attracted silver miners in the late 19th Century. It borders Cleveland National Forest and the property surrounding the farm is largely untouched by new development. The farm offers a giant landscape of fresh-growing trees to choose from. It is a nice place to get your perfect Christmas tree.

Seasonal Hours: November 19-December 20

Mon-Fri: 11:30 am-4:30 pm

Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 am-4:30 pm

FYI: They only accept cash or check. They do have an ATM on site. Silverado site has Christmas trees around 5′-9′. Brea location has larger size trees (12′). They will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Tanaka Farms

Tanaka Farms sells a variety of Christmas trees. It is a family-owned farm and has been in Orange County since the 50s. It is a great place to pick the perfect Christmas tree. Tanaka Farms not only sells trees, but they sell holiday decorations, fresh wreaths, and other holiday season products. They also light all the trees on the farm for the holiday season and you take wagon rides to the “Land of Thousand Lanterns”. If you are near Irvine, Ca. grab yourself a cup of hot chocolate and go take a look at the Hikari Festival Of Lights.

FYI: There are fees for parking and getting on the wagon rides.

Farmakis Farms San Juan Capistrano

Farmakis farms start selling Christmas trees on November 25, 2022. You have the option to purchase homegrown California Monterey Pine and Leyland Cypress trees cut straight from the ground. They do offer other Christmas trees like the Noble fir, Douglas fir, and Fraser fir. Farmakis does also offer delivery. They offer netting, and twine, and will load and ty your tree to your car.

Pumpkin City's Christmas Trees

A great local place to grab a Christmas tree. Pumpkin City converts its fall pumpkin patch and starts selling Christmas trees from the day of Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. Located in the Laguna Hill Mall. You can purchase a tree, a traditional Christmas wreath, a garland, poinsettias, and reindeer critters. It is an easy Christmas tree lot to get in and out. They have two other locations in Rancho Santa Margarita and Santa Ana.

Richfield Pines-The Christmas Tree Farms

Richfield Pines is a 10-acre farm in Southern California that grows beautiful and fragrant Monterrey pines. It is a great place to take the family to pick the perfect Christmas tree. They are the only Southern California Christmas tree grower with trees in the 15 ft-20 ft range. There are free candy canes for the kids. They will cut the tree on the spot or you can pick it up at a later date.
