If you’ve ever driven past streets glowing orange with fog machines and animatronic skeletons, you already know—some parts of Orange County take spooky season seriously.

This year, we’ve rounded up the best neighborhoods for trick-or-treating in Orange County, from cozy family-friendly streets to legendary haunted displays that locals look forward to every year. Whether you’ve got little superheroes and princesses in tow or just want to soak in the Halloween energy, this list (and map) will get you to the right spot. Oh, and I use this“Candy Rating” (🍫🍫=good, 🍫🍫🍫=legendary) to rate the neighborhoods. Because isn’t that the most important part of Halloween?!
