5 Best Christmas Tree Lots In Orange County

Christmas is right around the corner, so it’s time to get your holiday decorations out of the garage and go on the search for the Christmas tree! If you live in Orange County, you have a lot of choices in Christmas tree farms. No matter if you want to cut down your own Christmas tree, visit a Christmas tree farm to get festive pics, or just see what kind of traditional Christmas trees are out there, there’s so many places to visit!

Peltzer Pines Silverado

Peltzer Pines has two locations to find your very own tree! Head over to visit the tree farm in Brea, Ca., or visit and the other location in Silverado Canyon. The latter is a historical landmark in Orange County, and is the perfect place to find the right Christmas tree for your family!

The landmark was founded in 1878, and the area attracted silver miners in the late 19th Century. It borders Cleveland National Forest, and the property surrounding the farm is largely untouched by new development. The farm offers a giant landscape of fresh-growing trees to choose from, and it is definitely a nice place to get your perfect Christmas tree this year!

Seasonal Hours: November 23 – December 20

Mon-Fri: 11:30 am – 4:30 pm

Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm

Important Note: They only accept cash or check, but they do have an ATM on site. Silverado site has Christmas trees around 5′-9′, while the Brea location has larger size trees (up to 12′). They will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Tanaka Farms

Tanaka Farms sells a variety of Christmas trees at their family-owned farm, and has been in Orange County since the 50s. This truly a magical place to pick the perfect Christmas tree for your home. Tanaka Farms not only sells trees, but they also sell holiday decorations, fresh wreaths, and other holiday season products.

The farm also goes the extra mile to light all the trees on the farm for the holiday season, and guests can take wagon rides to the “Land of Thousand Lanterns”. If you are near Irvine, Ca. grab yourself a cup of hot chocolate and go take a look at the Festival Of Lights. It’s a can’t miss event this holiday season!

FYI: There are fees for parking and getting on the wagon rides.

Farmakis Farms San Juan Capistrano

Farmakis Farms starts selling their Christmas trees on November 29, 2024, and you have the option to purchase homegrown California Monterey Pine or Leyland Cypress trees cut straight from the ground. They also offer other Christmas trees like the Noble fir, Douglas fir, and Fraser fir. Farmakis offers delivery if you’d prefer them to bring the tree to you. Another perk is that they offer netting and twine, and will load and tie your tree to your car.

Pumpkin City's Christmas Trees

A great local place to grab a Christmas tree, Pumpkin City converts its fall pumpkin patch and starts selling Christmas trees from the end of November until Christmas Eve. Located in the Laguna Hill Mall, guests can purchase a tree, a traditional Christmas wreath, garlands, poinsettias, and reindeer critters. A bonus is that the location is great making it an easy Christmas tree lot to get in and out quickly. Ohter locations include those in Rancho Santa Margarita and Santa Ana.

Richfield Pines-The Christmas Tree Farms

Richfield Pines is a 10-acre farm in Southern California that grows beautiful and fragrant Monterrey pines. It is a great place to take the family to pick the perfect Christmas tree, and they are the only Southern California Christmas tree grower with trees in the 15 ft-20 ft range!

They also have free candy canes for the kids! And they will cut the tree on the spot, or schedule a time for you to pick it up at a later date. Make sure to get there as soon as you can they run of trees quickly!
