There’s just something special about the stunning panoramic views and upscale ambiance that a rooftop bar and rooftop restaurant in Orange County has to offer. Of course the unique menu and craft cocktails at these restaurants are amazing, but beyond the delicious food and drinks, the sweeping views from the rooftop decks are absolutely stunning.

Next time you are looking to take advantage of the open air, natural light, and a spacious environment, make sure add outdoor dining on the rooftop restaurants to your weekend activities! You don’t want to miss ocean views, epic sunsets, or the panoramic views Orange County has to offer.

To help you pick a a unique setting, here is my list of the 5 best rooftop restaurants in OC!

Table of Contents

The Deck On Laguna Beach

This rooftop deck is seriously one of my favorites places to go to enjoy live music, good food, and amazing views of the ocean. The restaurant is literally next to the water, so you definitely can beat the open sky and natural breeze. In my opinion, it’s one the best rooftop bars and restaurants in Orange County!

If you happen to be near the Pacific Coast Highway and Laguna Beach, I definitely recommend heading over to The Deck for some amazing food. I have so many favorites on the menu, I don’t know how I can pick just one! I highly recommend trying the Mahi Mahi sandwich, tomato bisque, lobster quesadillas, or the beach burger. Of course I can’t forget the grilled cheese sandwich (with bacon, don’t forget the bacon)!

If you feel like indulging in dessert, I would 100% recommend that you order the chocolate lava cake. It’s sooooooo good and seriously to die for! The signature cocktails at the bar are also pretty delicious. You just can’t go wrong with the Deck Backyard Lemonade. The homemade sweet tea added to this drink takes it to a different level!

The Fifth

A great Orange County rooftop bar to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and the always amazing Disney fireworks, the Fifth Rooftop Restaurant is located right across the street from Disneyland resort! Tip: I would definitely recommend valeting your car for $15 dollars.

This rooftop restaurant is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets below for date night or happy hour. To create an inviting atmosphere, diners can enjoy the fire pits on the rooftop! And if aren’t seated at a table with a firepit, you can request blankets so that you can enjoy a warm and cozy experience.

One thing about the The Fifth rooftop restaurant is that they have some really creative cocktails. I highly recommend trying the Let that MANgo signature cocktail or any of their seasonal cocktails. If you’re not there for a full meal and only interested in small bites, you have to try the mac and cheese balls, loaded tots, or the ahi poke taco. I also love the nachos and chorizo mac n cheese. Those dishes, as well as the crafted burger are my go to dinner choices!

The live entertainment, exotic birds, and ocean views make Mozambique a fun place to hang out with friends and family! They also offer a weekend brunch, which is fantastic as well.

While you’re enjoying the gorgeous views and serene environment, I recommend trying some of their creative cocktails like the pear lychee martini. This is a super refreshing drink, and my favorite on the menu! If you’re hungry, you are in for a real treat! The Peri Peri chicken, calamari, seafood curry, and the seafood platter are all good choices! The only issue is how to pick which one you want to try!

Topside Bar At Lido House

The Topside Bar is more of a rooftop bar than it is a restaurant. Located in Newport Beach, they a great selection of mostly small bites and appetizers. Topside Bar at Lido House Hotel, is the perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy the ocean breeze. If you’re looking for a rooftop lounge to just to hang out, drink, and socialize, Topside is the place to go.

For drinks, I recommend the Lady Guava or the Topside margarita. During some seasons, they even add a watermelon popsicle in the margarita, which is always fun and adds amazing flavor to the drink! If you are hungry, I would order the yellowtail ceviche, skirt steak quesadilla, or the truffle fries. The fries are some of the best I’ve had! They are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The perfect combination!

Old Vine Kitchen & Bar

The food at Old Vine Kitchen is straight up delicious. At this location you might not get the panoramic views of the ocean, but the amazing rooftop dining and stylish decorated rooftop, more than makes up for it! I would definitely get the porcini mushroom mac and cheese, pollo en mole, steak frites, or the sea scallops. And if you’re in the mood for dessert, try the peanut butter banana or the butter cake. Seriously so good!

Now dinner is always great, but their weekend brunch is to die for! You can’t go wrong with anything from the French toast, banana crepes, the savory open face on their cheddar biscuit, to their sloppy joe. It’s all so good!
