Best Pho In Orange County

Best Pho Restaurant In Orange County

If you are new to Orange County or visiting and looking for a great beef noodle bowl here is my list of the best pho restaurants.

I have been eating at many Pho restaurants in Orange County for years, so I thought I would give you my curated list of the best pho in the area. I know I may be criticized for my selections because they may not be seen as the traditional place everyone who loves pho has been visiting for years.

Here is my list.

Table of Contents

Sup Noodle Bar

This is by no means a traditional pho restaurant, but the pho they serve is amazing. I have tried the beef pho as well as the filet mignon pho and they are both great. My favorite pho on the menu is the pho rib bones. The large steaming bowl comes with two large rib bones that have been stewed for hours. The meat falls right off the bone and the broth is really, really good. You can ask for more broth and vermicelli noodles for no added charge.

I can just drink the pho broth alone, to be honest. I think that makes the pho so much better compared to other pho restaurants in the area.

I would also recommend golden bao, grilled prawn garlic noodles, chicken wings, egg rolls, fried rice, and lomo saltado. They have great quick service. Make sure if you order any of the appetizers to ask for the aji Verde aioli dipping sauce. It makes every dish so much better.

The wait can be long so make sure to check in with Yelp before heading to the restaurant. They have two locations. One is located in Buena Park and another location is in Irvine.

Address: 14370 Culver Drive Unit 2H Irvine, Ca. 92604

Hours: Sunday-Thursday: 11:00am-9:00pm

Friday-Saturday: 11:00am-10:00pm

Pho 79

Pho 79 has been around since I was young and is located in a strip mall in Orange County’s Little Saigon. This is a good pho spot. The pho xe wa is awesome. It is their largest bowl of pho that comes with tripe, beef balls, and rare and well-done meat.

You should also try the oxtail pho and the chicken pho. If you love pho this is one of the pho spots in Orange County you do not want to miss.

If you are not in the mood for pho they have other great Vietnamese food. The rice paper-wrapped egg rolls and spring rolls are great. The charbroiled grilled pork rice dishes are also excellent. My favorite rice dish is the number 106. It has grilled pork, egg loaf, and shredded pork skin over broken rice.

Make sure to try their Banh mi Bo Kho, which is a beef stew with french bread. The stew and meat are so delicious. Don’t forget to use the french bread to get all the remaining soup out of the plate. You will savor every bite.

It can accommodate a big group and they have courteous service. They can get pretty busy during the lunch and dinner hour so you can use Google to see the wait times.

Pho Akaushi Garden Grove

This is another great pho place. It is located in Garden Grove and it is a bit pricey compared to other pho places in Orange County, but the wagyu beef they use in the pho is off the charts.

The egg rolls are okay, but you need to go there for the wagyu beef pho and fried rice. The wagyu beef flavors the soup broth to another level. Try to go for the big bowl of Akaushi combo. You will get the wagyu beef, wagyu beef meatballs, brisket, and beef cubes.

The traditional iced Vietnamese coffee is pretty good as well. The waits at dinner and lunch can be long, but it is worth the short wait. They have fast and friendly service.

Brodard Restaurant

Now, this is not a pho restaurant, but an amazing Vietnamese restaurant. They have amazing food. They have two locations in Fountain Valley and a high-end restaurant located in Garden Grove.

They are known for their spring rolls. The spring rolls are so good. The pork and shrimp roll are the options I always go for. The sauce that comes with the rolls is a must-have. The rice paper egg rolls and the shaken beef plate are so flavorful and savory. The coffee as well as the macaroons are really delicious.

The wait time at both locations can get really long during the weekends. I try to go during lunch or have an early dinner on weekends. If you have the time it is worth the wait.
