Best Burger In Orange County

Best Burger In Orange County

Hamburgers (and cheeseburgers) are a popular and beloved fast food item enjoyed by people around the world. I mean, how can you resist a juicy grilled burger with melted American cheese, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and a secret sauce? And of course you can’t forget a warm basket of sweet potato fries or french fries!

Whether enjoyed at a fancy restaurant or from a food truck, hamburgers continue to be a beloved and satisfying comfort food for many. The good news is that we have so many delicious options to choose from! Here is my list of the best burgers in Orange County, Ca!

Table of Contents

American Grub

The burgers at this location are simply amazing! They use an Angus beef patty for all the burgers. And every single burger here is fantastic, from the Swiss mushroom burger, to the Wyatt Earp Burger! This just might be my favorite burger here. It has a beef Angus patty, onion rings, American cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and is serviced with a warm BBQ sauce. So good! I also can’t forget the Guilty Burger that comes with a beef Angus patty, applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese, fried egg, spicy mayo, lettuce, tomato, and raw onions. It’s messy but oh so good! And alll burgers come on a toasted brioche bun.

If you enjoy a plain burger or cheeseburger, then no worries! They also have the classic burger or the classic cheeseburger, and both come with the beef Angus patty, toasted brioche bun, and other fresh lettuce and tomato.

American Grub is not only known for their burgers, but they have other great food on their menu. Make sure to try their crinkle golden fries, chicken wings, and tater tots. And the desserts are absolutely delicious! Not a meat person? They do have a great veggie burger and turkey burger with swiss as well.

Note: There can be a wait to be seated in the dining room, but the wait is worth it! This is one of my favorite and best burger joints in Orange County and you should definitely give it a try!

Trevor's At The Tracks

Trevor’s At The Tracks is not your traditional burger joint that only serves burgers. They serve other amazing food too! But their burger is absolutely amazing. It’s really simple but oh so delicious!

The burger is made with a 1/2 pound Angus ground chuck patty, caramelized onion, heirloom tomato (taken from their fresh raised bed garden), butter lettuce, pickles, and house ketchup sauce, all on a toasted brioche bun. You can also add avocado, a thick-cut bacon, or even a fried egg. I highly recommend the bacon or fried egg!

In my opinion, it is one of the most delicious burgers in Orange County! Ask for more house ketchup because your taste buds will be wanting more of the sauce on your burger. They have great service, and I love that they use fresh organic ingredients.

If you’re looking for other food choices, I recommend the ribs, Savannah fried chicken, or the Parisian prime. I also enjoy their live music at the bar and outside seating throughout the week and on weekends. Just make sure to get seats near the back of the restaurant. You can also see the train come through as you are enjoying dinner or lunch. It is a hidden gem in San Juan Capistrano. And one of my go-to places to eat! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Ironwood Cellar

Ironwood Cellar makes a juicy burger made from wagyu that is so tender and juicy. The burger comes with a cabernet bacon jam, butter lettuce, heirloom tomato, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and pickled onions. If you love bacon, I would definitely add it to the burger! The burger also comes with a side of herb fries, but be sure to add pecorino and truffle oil. So good!

Note: The wait can be long, so I would advise getting reservations in advance. You will enjoy their creative menu that changes seasonally. Keep that in mind that the burger may change throughout the year.

I also recommend the jidori chicken schnitzel, dry-aged ribeye steak, and of course the warm oatmeal raisin cookie crumble.

The Burger Stop

If you are in Santa Ana and you want a quick burger, BurgerStop is your go-to place! If you’re looking for fancy burgers with a brioche bun, bacon jam, caramelized onions, and smoked cheddar cheese, then BurgerStop might not be the place for you. This is your traditional burger joint. It’s not fancy, but it is good!

You can order any traditional burger and cheeseburger, but I love the double cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger. If you’re looking to compare to other burger joints, the double cheeseburger flavor profile is close to a double-double from In-n-Out.

The sides here are great as well. The chili cheese fries, fried zucchini, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and waffle fries are all amazing. I recommend ordering the french fries with cheese and bacon!
