Here are events this week in OC!

Table of Contents

The Great Junk Hunt

Get ready, treasure hunters! The Great Junk Hunt is back at the OC Fairgrounds, bringing four buildings packed with one-of-a-kind finds, from quirky antiques to upcycled gems. This isn’t your average market—expect curated vendors, live music, cocktails, and endless aisles of vintage, farmhouse, and handmade treasures. Whether you’re after a unique piece or just love the thrill of junkin’, this is the ultimate spot to discover something unforgettable!

Dia de los Muertos Festival

Celebrate Día de los Muertos at Fairhaven Memorial Park’s 12th Annual festival on Saturday, November 2nd, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! This vibrant event honors loved ones with live music, folkloric dancers, face painting, and a craft booth. Grab some delicious bites from food trucks and soak in the colorful atmosphere with friends and family. It’s a beautiful day to celebrate those who came before us!

Mexican Day of the Dead

Celebrate Día de los Muertos with Bowers Museum on Sunday, November 3rd, in a beautiful tribute to loved ones and pets who remain with us in spirit. Bring a photo to add to the ofrendas (memorial altars), and enjoy a day filled with music, dance, and art! Performances by Mariachi Anacatlán, Relámpago del Cielo, and more will bring the courtyard to life. This free family festival is perfect for all ages, with live performances, art-making, face painting, and delicious treats—don’t miss this unforgettable day!

Beer City Festival

Kick off your Saturday at the Beer City Festival, where the fun starts early with the Beer City Half Marathon, featuring 10k, 5k, and even a relaxed 1-mile Beer Stroll for those mostly here for the brews! After you cross the finish line, dive into unlimited beer tastings from local brewers, kombucha, and hard teas—all served in a keepsake Beer City Festival glass. Stick around for games, live entertainment, snacks, and non-alcoholic options, too. And if you want to extend the good vibes until 2pm, grab a Second Shift pass at 30% off! This event’s all about having a great time, whether you’re here for the race, the beer, or both!

Dia de Los Muertos Sugar Skull Painting

Get crafty at Green Tomato Grill in Brea with a sugar skull painting event to celebrate Día de Los Muertos! Join us to decorate your own vibrant sugar skull—no experience needed, just bring your creative vibes, and we’ll handle the supplies. It’s a great way to honor this beautiful Mexican tradition, enjoy some good company, and take home a colorful piece of art. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Old World Oktoberfest

If you love beer and great food head over to the Old World Village for the annual Oktoberfest. It will be going on until November 3rd, Wednesday-Sunday, and starts at 6pm. Go out and enjoy food, beer, live music, and meet great people. Also keep an eye out for the fun events and contests!
