4 Best International Markets In Orange County

4 Best International Markets In Orange County

Sometimes I miss home cooking and some of my local stores do not hold all the needed ingredients in their international foods section to make a traditional Korean dish. When I am in the mood for fresh lavash bread, hard-to-find Asian snacks, exotic fruits, prepared middle eastern food or pastries, or freshly made Mexican meats I always try to find the best markets that have the freshest food, have all the products to make the cuisine I am craving for that day, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Here is my list of the best international markets in Orange County.

Table of Contents

Mission Ranch Market

Mission Ranch market is one the best Persian markets in Orange County. Everything from fresh Halal meat, crisp lavash, tasty sangak, fresh produce, delicious rollets, amazing sugar-glazed cream cakes, and plenty of teas and spices. The restaurant in the location is a great place to have lunch with the family after you finish some shopping. There is ample parking and a great place to go grocery shopping.

Address: 23166 Los Alisos Blvd. Aliso Viejo, Ca. 92691

Hours: Sun-Sat 8 am- 8 pm

H-Mart Irvine Westpark

H-Mart has some of the best fish, fruits, vegetables, high-quality Korean-prepared foods, snacks, Korean spices, and fresh bread. The food hall in the location is an added bonus. The prices of fruits and vegetables can be a steal. There is ample parking. The employees are nice, but are can be unhelpful if you are trying to find a specific Korean ingredient. The prepared meats and banchan are really great. I love the prepared spicy pork. The wait in line is not long. If happen to have time to stop for lunch or dinner the food hall is a good place to eat. The black bean noodle, Korean fried chicken, and stews are delicious. H-mart has many grocery stores located throughout Southern California.

Address: 3825 Alton Pkwy Westpark Plaza Irvine, Ca. 92606

Hours: Sun-Sat 8 am- 10 pm

Zion Market

Zion market has high-quality sushi ingredients, a large selection of Korean snacks, great food in their food court, a great selection of fresh fruits, and great prices. You should check their ads before you walk into the store you can get a good price on fish, produce, and meats. There is ample parking and their location near UCI can get pretty busy with college students during the school year.

Address: 4800 Irvine Blvd Irvine, Ca. 92620

Hours: Sun-Sat 8 am- 9 pm

Mucho Mucho Market

The Mexican pastries, freshly made guacamole, salsa, prepared Mexican meats, and wide selection of Goya products makes Mucho Mucho market of my favorite Mexican markets in Orange County. It does not hurt that it is close by. There is ample parking and the family who owns the business are really nice. The space is not as large as compared to a Carniceria, but the store has everything you need to make great Mexican food.
