5 Best Ice Rinks For The Holiday Season In Orange County

The holidays are here and it is time to enjoy some winter activities. If you have been searching for a local ice skating rink in Orange County look no further. Here is my list of the best places for ice skating in Orange County.

Winterfest OC

Winterfest has a cool outdoor ice skating rink. You skate next to a 30 ft tall Christmas tree with all the sparkling decorations and lights. If you get tired of skating you can always enjoy the other activities at the OC Fair event center. They have face painting, carnival thrills, a craft tent, an inflatable maze, a holiday Ferris wheel, an oversized holiday decor, a snowboard simulator, live entertainment, holiday treats, food, and drink, a petting zoo, a visit by Santa Claus, and so much more. This a family-friendly holiday attraction and one you do not want to miss. They do offer skate rentals.

Hours: Thur- Fri 4 pm- 10 pm

Sat-Sun: 12 pm- 10 pm

Mon-Tues: Closed

Great Park Ice

Great Park has an ice skating rink that is open year-round. It is indoor and they offer public skating lessons. If you are a novice it is a great place to learn. The rink surface is well-managed and there is plenty of space to learn. The Great Park Ice is a wonderful place to get your ice skating itch scratched. I think it is one best ice skating rinks in the Orange County area.

Surf City Winter Wonderland

An awesome place to enjoy some great outdoor ice skating and get a great view of the ocean. This is one of my favorite holiday ice rinks. Aside from the ice skating, you can enjoy the local restaurants, holiday light displays, and holiday markets. Skate rental are available. Socks and gloves are also available to purchase.

Hours: Mon-Thurs: 2 pm- 10 pm

Fri-Sat: 10 am- 11 pm

Sun: 10 am- 10pm

Ice Rink at the Irvine Spectrum Center

One of my favorite outdoor ice skating rinks in Orange County. It is nestled in the Spectrum Center next to a giant Christmas tree and beautiful holiday decorations. It is a great place to skate, but also to shop for the holiday season.
