5 Best Sports Bars In Orange County

No matter if it’s the NFL playoffs, the Super Bowl, March Madness, or NBA Championships, there’s almost always a sporting event happening. And chances are, it’s on television. So it’s always great to have a list of favorite sports bar near you that have a fantastic lineup of beers on tap, amazing mixed drinks, and of course awesome food. Since some of the sporting events can be 3-4 hours long, when you go to a bar probably all you focus on is having a great drink, but I am also looking for great food!

There’s just something about hanging out with friends, enjoying the sports memorabilia hanging on the walls, and having the best time! So here’s a list of the 5 best sport bars in Orange County!

O'Connell's Sports Pub and Grille Huntington Beach

One of my favorite sports bars in Orange County is O’Connell’s Sports Pub and Grille in Huntington Beach! It has easy access to parking, a ton of large televisions so you have a great view from anywhere you sit, good food, and great beers on tap. I have been frequenting this spot for years, and it’s such a cool place to meet up with friends to enjoy the game or match with a cold beer and delicious food. I definitely recommend you try the Reuben, calm chowder, burger, or lobster roll. You seriously can’t go wrong with any of them!

Aces Bar and Grill City of Orange

A great local sports bar to catch the game during football season, and of course enjoy delicious drinks! The cool thing about Aces is that you can reserve tables before a big game, so you never have to worry about getting a space when you arrive. So keep this in mind when big games are happening!

This sports bar has good service and the food is great as well. My go-to items are buffalo wings, tater tots, crinkle-cut fries, and Ace’s burgers. You can also enjoy happy hour specials throughout the week! Definitely a great sports bar to try!

OC Local Tap Room Laguna Niguel

If you are in Laguna Beach, Hills, or Niguel OC, Local Tap Room is a great sports bar to enjoy in Orange County! There is plenty of parking, and they offer an extensive menu with good food and cold drinks. They are also known for their friendly service and there is a great atmosphere! And don’t worry, there are plenty of televisions and seating to enjoy the big game!

When it comes to the menu, I highly recommend fried ice cream, buffalo wings, nachos, a charcuterie board, or the tacos. The beers on tap are pretty good as well. Keep in mind that they offer drink specials throughout the week, so there’s almost always a good deal. Oh, and I can’t forget that they have the game Connect Four available for anyone to play. It’s always a fun time at the Local Tap Room!

Mulligan's Sports Bar San Clemente

Mulligan’s is a good sports bar and chill place to enjoy great beer, tasty food, and to watch your favorite teams win! Something to note is that parking can be a little hard sometimes, but the good news is that you will not have to walk too far to get to the bar. You can also enjoy the crisp ocean air as you walk on the blvd!

They have a good assortment of beer, lots of televisions, and pool tables for your entertainment. The service is great, and in my opinion, it is one of the best sports bars in Orange County! The Don’t Go Bacon My Heart Burger and Whiskey Bacon Dog are both excellent choices. The appetizers and wings are pretty good as well. FYI, it is one of the hot spots in San Clemente so if you plan to come with a large group, I highly advise you to head out early so that you can secure a spot!

Helmsman Ale House Newport Beach

A relaxing place to enjoy the game, beer, and of course food! When I have friends in town and they want to watch football, this is the place I take them! The food is simply amazing. I recommend the cheddar biscuits, Helmsman mac, chicken and waffles, cornbread skillet, or the beef and brisket burger. All of them are soooo good! If the weather is nice, they also have outdoor seating so you get a nice evening out with a view! If you feel like getting some sun and enjoying the ocean air with a pint, you should absolutely call up your friends and head down to Helmsman for a fun outing!
