7 Best St. Patrick’s Day Events in Orange County

St. Patrick’s day is coming this Sunday. A lot of the cities in Orange County have fun events happening this weekend. The corned beef Reuben sandwiches, authentic Irish cuisine, live music, lively folk dances, green beer, and fun green outfits are all waiting for us this weekend. Here are the 7 best events happening in Orange County.

1. Irish Fest at the Old World Biergarten

Come out to Huntington Beach Old World Biergarten. Eat Irish stew, and corned beef cabbage, and celebrate Celtic culture with a live Irish band and a U2 cover band. The St. Patrick’s day events happening from March 17-19th. On Sunday you can learn traditional Irish dance. Make sure you wear green. The live entertainment, traditional corn beef and cabbage, and Irish stew are great. Click here for more information.

2. Tanaka Farms St. Patrick’s Day Hilltop Luncheon

Tanaka Farms has an amazing luncheon on Sunday for St. Patrick’s day. It is a great event with great food to celebrate with the family. You check in at the produce market and have a tractor-pulled wagon take you to the hilltop where an amazing buffet is waiting for you. The buffet serves corned beef bangers, veggie bangers, fire-grilled chicken, carrots, potatoes, kale, strawberry salad, Colcannon, Irish soda bread, Limeade, and iced tea. The kids can run around the big lawn after they are finished eating. This is one of my favorite family-friendly St. Patrick’s day events. Click here for more information.

3. Pretend City St. Patrick’s day

This is a great place to celebrate St. Patrick’s day with the family. There is a kid’s craft table where they can cut out and decorate their own shamrock. There is storytime, and watercolors to paint your own rainbow, and you get to learn how to trap a leprechaun. There is an Irish heading-home parade at the end of the day. So make sure the kids are wearing their favorite green outfits. Click here for more information.

4. St. Patrick’s Day at Bella Terra

Bella Terra has a weekend-long St. Patrick’s day event in Orange County. They have 25 creative artisan vendors, live Irish folk music, green beer, food vendors, character meet and greets, and other fun activities for the kids. Click here for more information.

5. Irish Festival at Oso Viejo Park

Come down to Oso Viejo Park and enjoy Irish food. The kids can enjoy the obstacle courses, face painting, and crafts table. Adults can look forward to Irish beers and wines. Come in your favorite green outfit. There is a costume contest at the event. Click here for more information.

6. St Patrick’s Day Full Moon Hike

If you want to get away from the parties and live music and just want to enjoy a peaceful night this is a great activity to join. Make sure you wear a good amount of layers, and sturdy hiking shoes, and bring water and a red-tinted flashlight. You can enjoy a beautiful night hike through the Santiago Oak Regional Park. 7. Almost St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl

Start your St. Patrick’s celebration early by coming down to downtown Santa Ana. They will have drink specials on green beer, cocktails, green games, green prizes, food specials, live entertainment, and great fun. There is no cover charge.
